Hello, my name is Michelle Laver and I run Champions Swimming. We are a small family owned swim school for children and adults based in Northwood, Middlesex. Champions was established back in '91 by my mother-in-law Vicky, until her semi retirement in 2005, which is when I took over. You'll still occasionally see her around, together with my husband David and my brother-in-law James. We're all qualified swim teachers and we're joined with a wealth of experience from our staff.

Champions runs lessons from beginners of 4 years to advanced, with special sessions for fitness and ladies only. All our sessions are based in Northwood College with wet change rooms for your convenience. The pool is a standard 25m with depth from 1m up to 1.8m.

We keep our classes small so your child gets the attention they deserve. Classes for beginners are kept at 4, going up to 6 as they advance. We have a teacher in the water with beginners using the deep water method; which is to say that children must learn to kick to manoeuvre around the pool rather than walk.

We'll provide everything your child needs to learn, improve or get fit in the pool. All you need to do is bring your bathing suit and towel! Goggles are welcome too and we recommend flip-flops for the poolside.
