I would highly recommend Champions to any parent who wants their child to learn to swim. My family have been having lessons at Champions for years!
Whilst my eldest children were having lessons and coming on so well, I decided that if my kids could swim, it was about time I learnt to! So I nervously joined the Ladies only class held on a Wednesday. All my fears and worries soon vanished due to having a fantastic teacher who enabled me to gain my confidence and to lose my fear of deep water. She got into the water with us and was so encouraging, knowing our limits but at the same time pushing us just that bit further to boost our confidence and skills.
Now my third child is having lessons and loving every minute of it! I can see huge improvements with him and his confidence in the water has soared! I think his favourite part of the lesson is jumping in! The bigger the jump, the better splash he can create to soak his teacher, the better for him! The classes are very small which is ideal ,so that each child has maximum teaching and practicing time in the pool. Whilst children are young or beginners and developing their confidence, the teachers actually get in the pool with the kids which is both practical and reassuring for for the kids and their parents who are watching from the gallery above. The staff are friendly and experienced and know exactly how to encourage the kids and how to get the best from them- both in developing swimming skills and confidence. One of my children was petrified of jumping in to the pool. Her teacher spent a lot of time each week talking to her about it and each week encouraged her just that bit further until finally she could do it all by herself without any hesitation. I was so proud of her and even more so when she went to a swimming party and spent half of her time jumping in and out of the pool!
My eldest child even named his favourite teddy after his teacher!

My three boys have been going to Champions Swimming West for a few years now and it has been great to watch them gain in confidence and start swimming on their own to achieve badges. The teachers know how to get the best result and have wonderful patience in helping them to swim independently!!

Both my daughters have learned to swim with Champions. The instructors were always patient and worked with each of them, building their confidence until they could swim unaided. I have always found the staff to be very approachable and to deal with any problems. Both girls enjoyed the lessons and learning to swim so much, that they have continued on with their swimming. They are both members of the Ruislip and Northwood Swim Squad and at the ages of 10 and 13 are now competing at County level. Champions not only taught them to swim and to enjoy being in the water, but taught them good stroke techniques that have helped them to progress to a good level. Many of the instructors that taught my children are still teaching there and I have no hesitation in recommending the lessons.
